The Tavern is an extraordinary culinary experience providing on of the most beloved and extensive wine menus in Lake County, IL. For almost 30 years this hidden gem tucked away in the heart of downtown Libertyville has excited discerning taste buds for almost 40 years with a mouthwatering quality menu. North Suburban fans who "feel very lucky" to have this "local" New American "favorite" "so close" swear it serves the "best steaks in" the area, "excellent fresh seafood" and an "ample list of fine wines", all within a setting sporting "extra special and unique" decor no wonder so few mind that it's "a bit pricey:; P.S. "the dessert list is satisfyingly sweet."
